Indices
Composite indices derived from multiple poll waves, released with their full method and field dates. Ideal for trend analysis and forecasting models.
Election Data
Structured election datasets including voter intention polls, candidate favourability trackers, issue priority rankings, and post-election validation studies. Covers presidential, gubernatorial, and National Assembly elections. Available as event-specific bundles or full historical archive.
Pulse Analysis
Rapid-response topical surveys on breaking issues, policy announcements, or crisis events. Pulse polls are fielded within 48–72 hours of an event and provide immediate public sentiment snapshots. Subscribe to get alerted when new pulse data is available for topics you track.

Yes. Our Election Data product is built around the 2027 cycle and brings in official INEC results from the 2019 and 2023 elections for context. Historical data is available as a one-time purchase or through subscription.

What we publish is primary public opinion data: poll and index results with their field dates, sample sizes and margins of error, and a structured dataset of 1,701 political office holders across all 36 states and the FCT with party affiliation.
We are not an official statistics agency. Population and census figures come from the National Population Commission, and labour, inflation and national accounts from the National Bureau of Statistics. What opinion data adds is the part official statistics cannot measure: how people are responding to those conditions.
Our data
What NigeriaPolls actually publishes
We publish primary public opinion data. That is what we collect and it is the only thing we are the source for. Everything we release carries the field dates, the sample size, the collection modes and the margin of error, so a reader can judge the number rather than take it on trust.
Poll and index results
Topline results and breakdowns from our published polls, together with the monthly indices we maintain on consumer confidence, governance trust, security perception and related measures. Each release links to the methodology that produced it.
The political office holder dataset
A structured record of 1,701 political office holders covering all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with party affiliation: governors and deputy governors, federal ministers, the Senate, the House of Representatives and every state House of Assembly. It is the piece researchers and newsrooms reuse most, because assembling it yourself from scattered official sources is weeks of work.
What the licence lets you do
Published data is released under CC BY 4.0. You may reuse it, adapt it, build products on it and use it commercially, provided you attribute NigeriaPolls. There is no fee, no negotiation and no contract to sign for that, which is deliberate: data nobody can check is data nobody should trust.

Where to find Nigerian data, including the data we do not produce
A lot of people arrive here looking for a Nigerian statistic we are not the source for. Rather than waste your time, here is who actually publishes what. We are not an official statistics agency and we do not pretend to be one.
Population and census figures
The National Population Commission is the constitutional authority for population and census data in Nigeria. Population by state, projections and census outputs come from them. Our own weighting uses published NPC demographics as the benchmark we rake our samples back to, which is why our methodology page names them.
Labour, prices and national accounts
The National Bureau of Statistics is the source for unemployment and labour force figures, the consumer price index and inflation, GDP and national accounts, and household survey work including the General Household Survey panel. If you need an unemployment or inflation number for a report, it should come from NBS rather than from a poll.
What opinion data adds alongside it is the part official statistics cannot measure. NBS can tell you what inflation was. It cannot tell you how many households changed what they buy because of it, or which states feel it hardest. That gap is the reason our consumer confidence work exists, and the two are complementary rather than competing.
Monetary and financial data
The Central Bank of Nigeria publishes exchange rates, money supply, policy rates and banking sector statistics.
Electoral data
The Independent National Electoral Commission is the authority for voter registration figures and certified election results. Polling, including ours, measures stated intention before an election and is a snapshot rather than a forecast. Certified results only ever come from INEC.
Public opinion
This is where we are the source. What Nigerians think about the cost of living, security, governance, healthcare, education and the people who hold office, measured on a documented method and published openly.

How to cite and reuse NigeriaPolls data
Attribution under CC BY 4.0 needs three things: who produced the data, what it is, and a link. In practice that means naming NigeriaPolls, naming the specific poll or index and its field dates, and linking to the page the figure came from.

Quote the sample size and the field dates alongside the figure wherever you have room. A percentage without them cannot be assessed by your reader, and in an election cycle a six month old number quoted as current is how good data ends up doing harm.
