Welcome to NigeriaPolls (“the Platform”). By accessing the Platform you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. About us

NigeriaPolls is an independent public-opinion and strategic research platform headquartered in Nigeria. We publish polls, indices, methodology notes, and a verified directory of Nigerian elected officials.

2. Use of our open data (CC BY 4.0)

All published datasets, indices, and aggregate statistics are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). You are free to:

Our embed widgets (e.g., /embed/polls/[slug], /embed/indices/[slug]) are free for non-commercial use by journalists, academics and civic-tech projects. For commercial embeds, contact [email protected].

5. Insight Brief subscription

Free subscribers receive the Weekly Pulse and major release alerts. Paid Executive Brief subscribers receive cross-tabs, advance findings, and quarterly white papers. Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe in NGN or USD; cancel anytime.

6. Disclaimers

Our research is provided as-is for informational purposes. While we apply rigorous methodology, all polls carry a margin of error stated alongside results. We are not liable for any decisions made based on our data.

The political officials directory is compiled from public records (INEC, NASS, state assembly publications, official communications). Errors are corrected within 7 days of a verified citizen submission via the corrections form.

7. Intellectual property

The NigeriaPolls name, logo, and editorial content (excluding open data) are protected by Nigerian copyright and trademark law. The site is built on open-source software — see our methodology page for details.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

9. Governing law & dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes will be resolved in the High Court of Lagos State, except that data-protection complaints may also be lodged with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the homepage and via email to subscribers.
