Recent reshuffles & structural changes (2024–2026)
- October 2024: Ministry of Niger Delta Development renamed to Ministry of Regional Development; Ministry of Sports Development scrapped (folded into the National Sports Commission).
- 2024: Ministry of Livestock Development created to address farmer–herder conflicts and the multi-billion dollar livestock sector.
- November 2025: Bernard Mohammed Doro (Humanitarian Affairs) and Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, SAN (Innovation, Science & Technology) sworn in.
- April 2026: Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs; Taiwo Oyedele takes over the Coordinating Ministry of the Economy.
